About this tool
Rotate PDF
A free Rotate PDF tool for correcting sideways or upside-down PDF pages. Choose the rotation angle and download a corrected copy of the document.
About the Rotate PDF
Rotate PDF is designed for documents whose pages appear sideways or upside down after scanning, exporting or combining files. It changes the page rotation setting while preserving the PDF page content.
What the rotation changes
Rotating a PDF changes the orientation of its pages so content that is sideways or upside down can be read normally. Tervilo creates a new PDF and leaves the uploaded source file unchanged.
How to use the Rotate PDF
- Select the PDF.
- Choose 90°, 180° or 270° clockwise rotation.
- Click Rotate PDF.
- Open the downloaded PDF and confirm the orientation on several pages before sharing it.
How Tervilo processes your document
These PDF utilities are designed around browser-side processing. When a supported operation is performed, the selected file is read by JavaScript running in your browser and the result is generated locally. This approach can reduce the need to send ordinary document contents to a Tervilo application server.
When this tool is useful
- Preparing documents for email, online submission or sharing.
- Cleaning up a document workflow before printing or archiving.
- Separating or combining supporting documents.
- Converting information between common document formats for further editing or review.
Best practices
If only some pages are incorrectly oriented, extract those pages first, rotate them, and then merge them back into the original document.
Important limitations
The current browser tool applies one rotation value to every page in the selected document.
Privacy and file handling
Tervilo's browser-oriented PDF utilities are intended to process supported files locally. Browser extensions, network policies and third-party libraries can affect how a browser environment behaves. For highly sensitive documents, verify the deployed implementation and use your organization's approved document-processing workflow.
Rotate PDF questions
Can I rotate only one page?
The current Tervilo Rotate PDF tool applies one selected rotation to every page in the uploaded PDF. If only a few pages need correction, extract those pages first, rotate them, and then merge the corrected pages with the rest of the document.
Does rotating a PDF change the original file?
No. Tervilo generates a separate rotated PDF, so the original file remains unchanged on your device.
Will rotating a PDF change its text or images?
Rotation changes page orientation rather than rewriting the page content. You should still review the output before using it for an important submission or publication.
Which rotation should I choose?
Use 90° or 270° when a page is sideways. Use 180° when the entire page is upside down. If you are unsure, preview the source page and choose the direction that turns its top edge toward the correct reading position.
