About this tool
Find & Replace Text

About the Find & Replace Text
Find & Replace Text performs quick text substitutions directly in your browser. It is useful for correcting repeated wording, changing labels, updating names and cleaning pasted content.
How to use this tool
Paste your source text, enter the phrase to find and the replacement text, then choose whether matching should respect case. Run the replacement and review the result before copying it elsewhere.
- Open the Find & Replace Text page on Tervilo.
- Enter or paste the text you want to work with.
- Choose any options relevant to the task.
- Run the tool and review the result before copying or publishing it.
How the calculation or transformation works
The tool searches for literal text matches. Case-sensitive mode distinguishes uppercase and lowercase characters; case-insensitive mode treats them as equivalent. It does not interpret regular expressions, which keeps the workflow predictable for everyday text editing.

Privacy and browser-side processing
Tervilo's text tools are designed to process the text in your browser. For ordinary text-editing tasks this can reduce the need to send your content to an application server. Even with browser-side tools, review your organization's security requirements before pasting confidential, regulated or sensitive information into any website.
